There are 3 things you need to determine, explore, and convey:

Context. Where does the product exist? Why should the product exist? What are all the different ideas about the product? At a high level, what is in scope for the product and what is out.

What are all the different ideas about the product? What should be in or out at a high-level?

Sequence. What is the logical order to building the product?

What is the logical sequence to build the product?

Schedule. When do we expect things to be done?

Timing added to the logical sequence to create a schedule
